Junior dos Santos received a knee injury 10 days before his fight with Velasquez

Junior dos Santos is the new heavyweight champion of the UFC after he knocked Cain Velasquez just 64 seconds into the game. If this is not enough to impress you, maybe the news that "Cigano" has broken meniscus in the knee 10 days before his fight with Velasquez and had to go briefly on crutches.
Here's what the new champion said at a press conference after the race:
'' I got a very serious knee injury, meniscus tore. 10 days before the game, barely moving. Two days I was on crutches, but I asked the doctor to help me because I'm about the biggest fight in my life that I could not miss for anything in the world. ".
Because of injury, Dos Santos is not planning to battle  five rounds, even the UFC and FOX to insist how much longer he would continue to fight, too bad for the Brazilian. Dos Santos struck with his heavy right-handed on Cain, finish it on the ground and went home with a gold strap.
